As far back as 1909, New Zealanders were reporting seeing unnatural objects in the skies. Decades later during one night in December 1952, more than 15 similar sightings were reported across the country. The best known encounter with a UFO came in 1978 when a still unidentified object was captured on video. Skeptics have always questioned the sightings. Increasingly, however, there is a belief among scientists that intelligent life is out there somewhere in the universe. However, others point out that the odds of contact are slim because intelligent life anywhere might not last very long.
Key Takeaways:
- The pentagon report about UFOs didn’t reveal much but it did acknowledge that there were unidentified things flying in the air.
- The Pentagon went over more than 140 UFO sightings that came from the US military over the past two decades but said there’s no clear evidence it’s aliens.
- None of the incidents that have been reported were caused by US advanced technology programs. There’s no known cause so far.
