There are four main theories or ideas that have been proposed about traveling to a parallel universe. The first one espouses that there are unlimited parallel universes that are created every time an action happens. The second one says that once a human being dies, they then are reborn in another universe. The third involves string theory which says that there are 11 other universes. The fourth one deals with creating a gateway in order to create a wormhole, which would then lead to a parallel universe.
