China’s Mars rover assigned extended mission after exceeding life expectancy

The race to landing humans on Mars is on, and China is one of the front-runners. Their rover has landed on Mars and has completed everything on its task list. In fact, the mission was so successful, and given the fact that the rover is still functioning, it is being extended with several additional tasks assigned to it. This made China the second nation with a successful rover expedition, since the one sent by the USSR malfunctioned within a couple of minutes, and is not considered as valuable mission.
